We deal with all feet and lower limb injuries. If you are experiencing pain, it may be due to your foot mechanics, and the alignment of your lower limb. A full Biomechanical Assessment may be required to assess this.

At Step Forward Podiatry we are experts in biomechanics of the lower limb.

It is important to have a biomechanical assessment if:

  • The pain or injury you have is possibly due to biomechanics of your feet or lower limb
  • If pain is experienced each time you do weight-bearing activity
  • An operation or previous injury may have caused your gait to change
To prevent pain or injury from occuring in the first place

We will take you through a multi-step process and give you an explanation of what is happening and how we can assist you:

  • Thorough injury and medical history taken
  • Lower leg alignment assessment
  • Manual and functional muscle testing
  • Barefoot assessment- motion analysis using video gait analysis software
  • Footwear Assessment- motion analysis using video gait analysis software
  • An explanation of the problem and condition
  • Treatment, and management plan put in place
